Maison Dominici, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, 1972

Varietal: Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Clairette

Origin: Rhone Valley, France

Tasting notes: One of the most astonishing wines that can be enjoyed today: it is a Châteauneuf barrel that has remained in its original state, without any contact with oxygen and in total inertia, since 1996! The wine thus has an astonishing youthfulness, but also expresses a deep, unctuous, very tasty body, supported by melted tannins and a very present acidity which brings a lot of freshness to a finely spiced whole.
