Tasting notes: When dry, Chenin is famous for its minerality. But when the harvest is belated, when the grape turns golden and the concentration of sugar increases, the aromas change. The wine becomes sweeter, more round, more viscous, has a golden robe and aromas of passion fruit, honey and acacia. In the mouth, the aromas are still powerful. The sweetness brings a lingering flavor but a touch if acidity creates balance by adding a bit of freshness.
